Important Installation Information

Four shorter caliper bolts are always included with this brake caliper. This is intentional and not a packaging error.

The manufacturer produces this caliper as a multi-purpose design for several Porsche models, including the Porsche 356 C / Carrera 2000. Depending on the application, spacer plates are used to provide the required clearance for different brake rotor and brake pad widths.

For the Porsche 912 with vented brake rotors, the factory-installed spacer plates (sometimes referred to as the "bridge") must remain installed.

If the caliper is being used with solid (non-vented) brake rotors, or for a Porsche 356 C / Carrera 2000 application, the spacer plates must be removed. The caliper should then be reassembled using the four shorter caliper bolts included in the package.

The colored residue visible on the caliper bolts is Loctite® threadlocker applied during assembly. It is not a factory seal or tamper-evident marking. Removing the bolts to remove the spacer plates does not break any warranty seal.

Installation Note:Only use the supplied shorter caliper bolts after removing the spacer plates. For Porsche 912 models equipped with vented brake rotors, the spacer plates must remain installed and the original bolt configuration should be retained.
