Background
Currently, sourcing a complete torque tube assembly (shaft + housing) for the Porsche 924 is extremely difficult and currently unavailable from Porsche. Even if a complete assembly were offered in the future, in most cases it is unnecessary to replace the entire unit. If the torque tube housing and drive shaft are still in good condition, the internal bearings are typically the only components that wear out, causing noise or vibration. Replacing these bearings restores smooth, quiet operation without the expense or effort of sourcing a full assembly.

Symptoms
If your 924's torque tube / drive shaft is making a rhythmic squealing, humming, or grinding noise, especially that changes with speed, and there's a resonant vibration, it's a strong indicator that the internal bearings are failing.

This repair kit includes four high-quality bearings designed specifically for Porsche 924 naturally aspirated models (1976–1985) with a 20 mm drive shaft. It restores smooth, quiet operation without requiring a full torque tube replacement, saving both cost and preserving originality.
