This seal tends to suffer from dry rot and degrades with time. Be sure to replace it before metal on metal contact occurs, destroying the paint work and allowing rust to develop.

When servicing the rear bumper, we recommend replacing the bumper shock seals, part # ((911 505 311 00)) shock bushings, part # ((911 505 221 00)) and base, part # ((911 505 220 01))
