Product description

Repair Kit for Airbag Support Frame

Worn rubber mounts on the airbag support frame can cause the horn to malfunction. In this case, the horn may sound at the slightest touch of the airbag module.

Previously, the complete support frame had to be replaced. On older models, this could also require replacement of the steering wheel. Please refer to Technical Information, Group 6, No. 7/96 and No. 5/96. Repair costs could be approximately $2,000.

With this repair kit, steering wheel replacement is no longer necessary. Simply replace the worn rubber mounts with the new ones.

Kit includes:
4 rubber mounts

Please note:
The image of the complete support frame is shown for illustration purposes only. The support frame is not included.

Tech Tip:
The original version of the support frame, part number 993 347 088 00, is still available from us.
