This example, produced for FVD Brombacher, is handcrafted in Italy using genuine Sonnenland soft-top fabric—the same material historically specified for Porsche cabriolets and Targas throughout the classic air-cooled era. Valued for its dimensional stability and refined surface finish, Sonnenland fabric offers durability while remaining visually correct for period applications.

Each panel is carefully cut and assembled with close attention to symmetry and tension. Stitching is deliberately tight and uniform, ensuring the fabric lies flat across the Targa opening without creasing—an essential detail for preserving the overall appearance of the car. The corners are subtly rounded to reduce the risk of snagging as people pass by the vehicle, a small but thoughtful detail that reflects the level of care taken in its construction.
