Product description

When you replace the restrictive original cats with these 200 cell sport cats, you reduce backpressure which increases performance in the mid-range and top end. Also, the exhaust note becomes lower, deeper and louder. The X Design minimizes the loss of low-end torque while enhancing horsepower in the mid and top range of the rpms. Why settle for the traditional cross over design when you can add torque in the mid-range and minimize the loss of torque down low. The 200 cell catalytic converters are made by HJS Emission Technology GmbH & Co.KG in Germany. They are nicknamed "HF" or high flow for their durable design. They have double foil design (winding of two flat and corrugated foils), which equates to durability for street use.

Please note: Sport Catalytic Converters are not C.A.R.B. certified (California), EPA nor are they TÜV approved. Sport Catalytic Converters replace the original manufacturers catalytic converters and should only be used for track events and off road only. We recommend purchasing FVD Brombacher Software, part # 43921 (996 3.4 L Egas) or 43407 (996 3.4 L Non Egas) and 43922 (996 3.6 L) as sport cats will cause the car to run rich which can damage the new sport cats and impede longevity. If you already have FVD Software, under our Progressive Tuning Program, we will update the software free of charge.
