FVD Brombacher will not typically recommend anything other than a drop-in sport filter for the later water-cooled models. But the 986 airbox does not offer very much surface area and really acts as a bottle neck for performance when adding other tuning such as software and exhaust modifications. With any tuning modifications, we strongly recommend this power flow intake which can produce as much as 8-10 HP and TQ gains.
