Beskrivelse

This is our Jekyll and Hyde exhaust, it is the perfect balance of loud, exotic motorsport sounds with the valves open, and soft, subtle, conservative stock-like sounds with them closed. When the valves are open, it produces rich, deep race car tones that take us back to Porsche's 993 RSR racing heritage. On the other hand, with the valves closed, it provides a quiet and comfortable ride, making it the best choice for a daily driver or for those who want a family compromise. This exhaust is top-of-the-line and choosing the FVD brand offers far more exclusivity than most tuning brands. With this exhaust, you can stand out at your next track or coffee event, and watch as your friends envy the exhaust note. FVD Brombacher Germany offers a wide range of exhaust systems with varying sound levels and performance options. You can choose from mild, conservative street systems, exotic sport systems, and wide-open, pulse-pounding race systems. Each system has been developed to work in harmony without compromising on quality or performance.

The Brombacher Edition Valved Exhaust System is manufactured by M&M Exhaust, GmbH in Germany. They produce a variety of Porsche Motorsport, Porsche Race Exhausts, and Porsche Street Exhausts. Each system is made with the highest-grade German V2A - X5CrNi18-10 - 1.4301 (T-304 L) lightweight stainless steel and is thoroughly tested for exhaust gas scavenging, velocity, thermal stress, cracking, and longevity. The exhaust sound is unmistakably Porsche Motorsports in nature and mimics the sounds of the GT3 RSR and GT3 Cup R Porsche race cars we have loved to listen to over the years. M&M exhausts have won many 24-hour endurance races, including Nürburgring, Le Mans, Dubai, and Daytona. When you purchase this exhaust system, you are the benefactor of that experience. Whether you need a system that can handle abuse on the track or on the street, look no further.

Heat Exchangers-> The heat exchangers are much lighter than the original heat exchangers and include long tube hand-welded, stainless-steel primaries with laser-cut, factory-shaped primary flanges. The primary inlets are hand-ported for laminar flow, resulting in greater exhaust gas velocity and improved performance. Additionally, the primary tubing is as equal-length as a flat-six will allow, with a diameter specifically designed for the 3.6 L Mezger engine's displacement and firing order (1, 6, 2, 4, 3, 5). Each primary tube is mandrel-bent, segmented, and back-purged TIG welded by hand to ensure strength and prevent stress cracks. The primary tubing leads to the custom-made, back-purged TIG welded, internally ported merge collector. The merge collector combines primary flow and increases the exhaust gas velocity, which broadens the engine's torque curve all the way to the horsepower peak. It's important to note that the collector flange is flared for a greater scavenging effect into an RSR-style round flange with a band clamp. This RSR-style flange ensures diameter continuity and increased laminar flow. It reduces the turbulence generated by a traditional 3-bolt flange found on competitors' exhausts. The heat exchanger portion is manufactured in the jig to fit the original heating system seamlessly.

Catalytic Converters ->-> The 100-cell catalytic converters are produced by HJS Emission Technology GmbH & Co. KG in Germany. They are the motorsport type with motorsport (MS) coating. They have a double-perforated-foil design, which consists of two flat and corrugated foils. This design ensures durability on the street as well as at clubsport track events. Furthermore, they are 30% lighter than some conventional catalysts and offer an additional 15% reduction in exhaust backpressure.

Mufflers->->-> The muffler design varies greatly from designs that are common in the aftermarket. Our muffler is uniquely made with double-perforated sound absorption tubes. The acoustic silencer absorption tubes are perforated with varying diameters. This design isolates and dampens the unwanted frequencies that create drone. Perforated tubes also create much less flow restriction than baffle plates at higher gas velocities, and consequently translate into larger horsepower and torque gains throughout the entire rev range. The resulting sound exhibited is a sonorous, unmistakable, 1,6,2,4,3,5-firing-order flat 6 Porsche sound, which also gurgles and crackles off of high rpm loads. It evokes memories of the 993 RSR and is unmistakably Porsche Motorsport in nature. The mufflers are equipped with vacuum-actuated exhaust valves that can be controlled by the driver or exhaust pressure. When the valves are closed or at lower speeds, the driver will experience a deep exhaust note with similar decibels to the stock. On the other hand, with the valves opened or at wide open throttle, the driver will experience a louder and more exotic exhaust note. The driver can control the valves through the retrofit kit, which is sold separately under part # BESKLS000001. The retrofit kit enables the valves to remain open permanently without an override. If the driver chooses to close the valves via the button, the factory settings will once again control the valves via engine load and backpressure. The exhaust tips are large 4.5” (114 mm) wide x 3.5” (89 mm) high ovals that completely fill the factory bumper cutouts for dramatic effect. They are highly polished stainless steel, double-walled to prevent tarnishing, and include rotation and angle adjustment. They are finished with a laser-engraved FVD Brombacher Logo.

FVD Brombacher – Porsche Performance with Peace of Mind since 1984

Please note: Very important! Please reference your year and model when ordering as the exhaust tips exits are different between the narrow body and wide body cars. Please check the model fitment tab to ensure accurate fitment. In order to control the exhaust valves, part # BESKLS000001must be ordered separately. We highly recommend purchasing FVD Software, part numbers FVD99361810, FVD99361871, or FVD99361870 (model dependent) when adding sport cats. If you use the stock software, the car will run rich, which can result in raw fuel coating the precious metals in the sport cats which can cause damage and premature failure. To ensure proper installation, we also suggest adding 12 heat exchanger/header lock nuts, part number 99908405202 to your order.
