IPD Competition Plenum 996 E-Gas & 997.1 - Includes Plenum + Throttle Body - 82 mm

FVD Brombacher has a long tradition of offering high quality, extensively tested, easily installed tuning products that offer proven performance. Those high standards naturally led us to the Innovative Pro Design (IPD) Plenum Product. The IPD patented cast aluminum intake plenum with the larger 82 mm (GT3) throttle body (Competition Plenum) increases horsepower and torque by optimizing and increasing airflow into the intake manifold. The factory plastic "T" style intake creates airflow turbulence, which deprives the motor of air, robbing Hp and torque. IPDs "Y" style plenum smoothly channels the airflow towards the left and right cylinder banks. The engine receives a larger mass of air at a higher velocity, which equates to increases in Hp and torque across the entire rev range. The result is improved acceleration and increased boost response (on turbo vehicles).

In order to capitalize on the IPD suggested 25+ Hp (19 KW) performance gains, you must strike a balance with exhaust components and software. You cannot simply add the IPD Competition Plenum and expect large gains with stock components. Ideally you require sport cats with software at the very minimum, so that increased air flow in balances with increased air flow out. But, no need to worry, the FVD Brombacher software engineers have you covered. We have developed specifically designed tunes for the IPD product. Our software works seamlessly together with the IPD or with other FVD / competitors tuning products to maximize performance safely and without the warning lights generated by this upgrade.

Under the FVD Tuning Progression Program, if you own FVD Software and purchase the IPD Competition Plenum from us (now or in the future), our engineers will update your software free of charge. Many software tuners charge in stages that ultimately costs you more, so be diligent when researching tunes. Our tuning progression program also offers free updates for FVD sport cats, which is a natural progression for the IPD Competition Plenum.

   Perfect for those looking for a louder stock exhaust note with added performance. Exaggerates the stock sound, so lower deeper tones down low and higher pitch GT3 style rasp up top, also without drone in the cabin.

3. FVD Software + FVD Sport Cats + FVD Sport Headers + FVD Sport Muffler + IPD Competition Plenum => Aggressive Street and Track Performance
   Perfect for those unconcerned with volume at wide open throttle. This is the most performance you can get with purely bolt on parts. The ultimate in performance and sound, still street-able but loud at wide open throttle.
