Product description

The 11.8:1 compression will provide you with more acceleration than kits with 11.3:1 compression. We recommend more aggressive cam (maximum valve lift (TDC) of 2.1 mm). Pistons have very deep pockets for use with RSR valves. These are 107 mm in size so are slip fit and do not require modifications. This kit is ideal for track use but can also be used on the street, it will add 35+ Hp (depending on your additional modifications). This set will also provide higher torque in the lower rpm range but is more octane sensitive than an 11.3:1 set.

Mahle pistons are forged for substantially higher and more uniform strength over pistons that are cast. Mahle cylinders are manufactured from ST52 steel which has extremely high thermal resistance, they are Nikasil coated which reduces wear and friction. We also have the piston rings (sealing and oil scrapers) pre-installed to ensure reliability. Each of our Mahle Piston and Cylinder kits are complete and ready for installation. We also recommend using our high compression 3.8L software, part # FVD964618XX for 964 models. Just specify that you will be running this set when you order the software.

Please note: This set is made to be used with the wide connecting rod eye of the factory 964 rods or a set of Carrillo rods like part # FVD10397502. Carefully read our technical information before installing the parts. Piston rings and piston pins must not be modified. Modifications of any of these parts will void the manufacturer's warranty.
