Innovative Motorsport-Inspired Design

The FVD Brombacher sport muffler system for the Porsche 997.1 differs significantly from many conventional aftermarket exhaust systems.

Inside the mufflers, dual-perforated sound absorption tubes are used in a semi-counterflow design. These tubes feature a specially developed trapezoidal perforation pattern with varying hole sizes.

This construction is specifically designed to reduce unwanted resonance and interior drone.

At the same time, the perforated absorption tubes create significantly less restriction at high exhaust gas velocities than conventional baffle-style designs. The improved exhaust flow supports optimized power delivery and sharper throttle response throughout the rev range.
