Product description

Background
The factory oil filter housing on many Porsche engines features a lightweight plastic cap with an integrated hex for removal. While adequate when new, these plastic caps are prone to degradation over time — becoming brittle from repeated heat cycles, suffering from rounded hex edges due to improper tool use or over tightening, or even developing cracks and stripped threads. Any of these issues can lead to oil leaks, contamination, and headaches during routine maintenance.

Usage
Upgrade this critical component to Rennline's precision-engineered billet aluminum oil filter cap. Machined from high-grade aluminum and designed as a direct replacement for the original plastic cap, this upgrade offers significantly improved strength, heat resistance, and longevity. The reinforced hex head allows for proper torque application without fear of rounding, and the aluminum threads maintain their integrity service after service.

For convenience, we also offer the compatible oil filter and O-ring under reference number 33226, ensuring your next oil change is quick, clean, and worry-free. And while you're refreshing your oil system, consider adding our magnetic drain plug, reference number 78029 to help capture harmful metal particles and further extend engine life. (Check model-specific fitment before ordering.)
