This is our Jekyll and Hyde muffler offering specially developed for the 957 Cayenne S. It is the perfect compromise for you and your loved ones. Rich, deep and loud V8 rumble with the valves open and soft subtle, stock like sounds with them closed. This muffler is effectively a muffler bypass with the valves open, so it offers the most volume available in our line up yet is factory quiet with the valves closed. It is truly the perfect compromise for a family hauler and leaves nothing on the table when you are enjoying a spirited driving session.

This muffler varies greatly from designs that are common in the aftermarket. It is uniquely made from German V2A - X5CrNi18-10 - 1.4301 (T-304 L) lightweight grade stainless steel and includes double perforated sound absorption tubes based on the Halbgegenstromprinzip (half counter current principle). The acoustic silencer absorption tubes are made in a trapezoidal pattern and are perforated with varying diameters. This design isolates and dampens the unwanted frequencies that create drone. But we also took it a step further and factory stamped the outer shell to cancel the unwanted frequencies even further. This design reduces more back pressure than the factory mufflers at higher gas velocities. The end result is greater performance gains throughout the entire rev range with better throttle response, especially when paired with software, intake and further exhaust modifications. For those looking for an even more menacing growl without drone, we recommend our secondary bypass, part # 5093. We categorize our mufflers sound levels from the mild street version (TÜV approved for Europe), up to the more exotic sounding sport version and finally the wide open, pulse pounding, race version.

Please note: It is necessary to control the valves with our valved exhaust retrofit kit, part # 59758 and you can control the valves via key chain with our optional remote-control kit, part # 41512.
