This Wiesner Classic model is a 1:4 scale cutaway of the Porsche 911 short-wheelbase (SWB) engine from 1966–1968, mounted in a solid wood frame with anti-reflective Artglass®. The frame measures approximately 35 cm × 25 cm × 7.2 cm (approx. 13.8 in × 9.8 in × 2.8 in).

The original engines represented include engine types 901/02, 05, 06, 07, 08, 16, and 30, featuring aluminum engine blocks and Weber carburetors. These early SWB engines utilized the more common spray-bar cam lubrication system, while other details, such as the mechanical fuel pumps and general layout, echo the earlier 901 series.

Crafted using high-detail 3D resin printing, CNC machining, and manual fabrication, each model consists of up to 80 individually manufactured components. Every piece is post-processed, airbrushed, and hand-assembled to achieve exceptional mechanical fidelity and visual accuracy. The cutaway format provides clear visibility of the engine's internal structure and period-correct component layout, creating a visually striking, collector-grade display.
