Background
This precision-manufactured threaded plug features an M18 x 1.5 mm thread size (18 mm major diameter with a 1.5 mm pitch). Made from A2 stainless steel and sourced from an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in Germany, it offers excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature durability, and a secure, leak-free seal in demanding engine and exhaust environments.

Usage
This plug has been used in multiple Porsche models over the years, including as an O2 sensor (lambda sensor) plug on the 924 S, 944 S2, 968, 986, 993, 996 GT3, and 997, and as an engine oil drain plug on the 2014–2019 GT3, GT3 RS, R, and Speedster. Since the M18 x 1.5 thread size is common for Bosch, NTK / NGK oxygen sensors, it can also be used in motorsport and custom race exhaust applications—either to seal an unused sensor bung or to block a secondary bung on OBD I Porsches where only a single sensor is needed.
