Hailing from the Baden Württemberg region in Germany, speaking the language and dealing with lead engineers from the Porsche OEM and Motor Sport manufacturers since 1984 has many advantages. This 3” (76 mm) diameter valved exhaust system is one of them. This exhaust was specifically intended to extract legendary performance from a Panamera Turbo or Turbo S on German Autobahns and occasional trips around the Nordschleife. When combined with our proprietary FVD software, PDK software, Turbo S Intake Manifold and Nordschleife Turbo Charger Set, you can achieve 730 HP and 693 TQ! This system is manufactured for performance across the entire rev range with an exhaust note that is rooted in motorsport yet offers daily driver comfort. With the valves open you receive a far more exotic, rich, deep, turbo motorsport tone and with the valves closed, soft subtle, completely stock sounds. So, absolutely no compromise and you will be thinking, the car really should have left the factory like this!

Our Brombacher Edition exhaust systems vary greatly from designs that are common in the aftermarket. The catalytic converters are made by HJS Emission Technology GmbH & Co.KG in Germany. They 200 cells per square inch and are nicknamed “HD” or heavy duty for their high durability matrix design. They have a SM-matrix (winding of three flat and corrugated foils) and a special connection to the matrix sheath, which equates to extremely high durability for track and street use. We recommend using the HD cats on all Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) motors as they produce much greater heat, so these cats have greater durability. After the cat, the piping smoothly transitions into elongated piping (like the factory exhaust) with the same diameter which keeps the temperatures lower on the transmission.

The muffler design is uniquely made with double perforated sound absorption tubes based on the Halbgegenstromprinzip (half counter current principle). The acoustic silencer absorption tubes are made in a trapezoidal pattern and are perforated with varying diameters. This design isolates and dampens the unwanted frequencies that create drone. Perforated tubes also create much less flow restriction than baffle plates at higher gas velocities, and consequently translates into larger horsepower and torque gains throughout the entire rev range. The resulting sound exhibited is a sonorous motorsport sound, with plenty of turbo whistle and gurgling and crackling off throttle. This sound is not a coincidence as our entire “Brombacher” line of exhausts is manufactured by M&M Exhaust, GmbH in Germany. They manufacture a multitude of Porsche Motorsport and Racing Exhausts. Please Note: Sport cats are not C.A.R.B. certified (California) nor are they TÜV approved or EPA certified. They are for Racing use only. We recommend FVD software tuning FVD97061890MG with the addition of sport cats, as stock tuning can cause the car to run rich. That can lead to raw fuel being dumped on the cats, which can lead to damage and premature failure. Under the FVD Progressive Tuning Program if you already have FVD Software the update is free of charge.
