FVD Brombachers 993 K-16/24 remanufactured turbos are created for those who are looking for power that is focused in the low and mid rpm range. They are completely bolt on and do not require custom headers or special modifications.

The remanufacturing process starts with re-profiling the OEM turbocharger compressor housing and modifying the compressor backing plate. This is done to replace the factory compressor wheel with a larger, modified compressor wheel. The larger wheel is also lightened which allows the turbo to flow a larger volume of air (more power), and aids in quicker spool up, better throttle response and acceleration.

In addition we increased the size of the inducer and exducer to compensate for the higher volume of air traveling through the compressor. These larger sizes were achieved with larger factory housings, which allow our turbos to be cost competitive and are done on an exchange basis. Simply send us your original K16 turbochargers and we will send our K16/24's back to you.

Borg Warner / KKK certified technicians remanufacture our turbos. This ensures reliability, superior performance and cost effectiveness. They ensure that each individual part is within the specified Borg Warner tolerance.

Combined with our proprietary software, intercoolers and the tuning components found in our level 3 and 4 power kits, 555 hp can be achieved.

This part is a Remanufactured Part, as such an additional charge (a core deposit) will be added to the purchase price of the part. After receiving your new part, kindly send back your old part, or "core". Once the core is returned to us and it has been inspected to ensure it is rebuild-able and resell-able, the core deposit will be refunded.

PLEASE NOTE: This service is only for the K16 turbochargers, a K24 is not considered a valid core. If you send us your original K16 to negate the core charge, please keep the following in mind. Each turbocharger is remanufactured in Germany, so the lead times can vary. A typical lead time from the U.S. would be 3-4 weeks. Kindly call us in advance to find out the availability of a core exchange. New engine management software is necessary for these turbochargers.
