Product description

This tensioner kit is an update for cars before 1984 and a replacement for cars after 1984. For the early non-CIS cars (<- 1984) this kit prevents seal failure, tensioner collapse and damage to the valvetrain by updating to the later hydraulic-pressure fed tensioners.

Models from 1965-1980, with the older chain supports will require chain wheel support spacers. Please order part # 93010551300 . Or you can update the chain wheel supports to part # 93010550900 and 93010551000 for the right side. We also recommend adding hydraulic safety stops, part # 150901560

When installing this kit on (<- 1973) models, the right-side cam tower oil line requires an extension, please order our part # FVD219501039
