Adding a lightweight or lower mass flywheel to your manual transmission reduces drivetrain loss which allows your engine to rev more freely. You will experience quicker acceleration, added responsiveness and a better overall drivability. This high quality, direct replacement lightweight flywheel kit is manufactured and optimized for street use. It has the correct amount of mass to ensure that you won't experience drivability issues like much lighter racing or Cup car versions.

This FVD Exclusive clutch kit is culmination of ZF Sachs Race Engineering GmbH parts and genuine Porsche parts that have been developed to work together without compromise. This kit offers a silky-smooth release, superb drivability, can handle more torque than an original clutch kit.

We specifically chose a clutch disc with torsion springs that function as a vibration damper between engine and gearbox that is necessary when removing the factory dual mass flywheel (DMFW). It also means that you will experience an effortless release in 1st gear. In all this kit offers versatility to be used for daily use, modified weekend rides or for driver's education / track events.

Tech Tip: When you are planning to install a new clutch, it is a good idea to replace the Clutch Release Fork and Shaft to ensure proper clutch engagement. Our part # FVD116999

Please note: 1989 964 OWNERS!! This kit will not fit the 1989 964 as it used the earlier 3.2 L Carrera clutch.Please be aware that adding a lightweight flywheel can amplify transmission noise into the cabin.
