Our high standards naturally led us to the Capristo brand which we are happy to add to our exhaust line up from 2019 forward.

The Capristo Valved Exhaust System is a bespoke exhaust offering that can be adjusted according to the driver's preferences. The changes in tone and overall sound is attributed to the vacuum-actuated exhaust valves controlled by the driver or exhaust backpressure. When the valves are closed or at lower speeds the exhaust gas is routed through the cats and the muffler, so driver will experience a deeper exhaust note that is still conservative enough for daily use. With the valves opened or at wide open throttle, the exhaust gas is routed through the sport cats only, effectively acting as a muffler bypass. The driver experiences a far louder, more aggressive and more sinister sound - lower deeper tones with a more distinct turbo whistle.

The exhaust valves are controlled via the included Capristo Exhaust System 3 (CES-3) key fob remote-control unit, which has 3 modes to choose from. This system also includes 2 FM (RDS Transmitter) Remote control units which send the valve operation values and functions to the car radio display. Along with the included Capristo Control Center (CCC) software, this will allow the driver to customize the valve opening settings and start up settings via the radio display.

When looking at the picture of the CES-3 key fob remote control unit:
Cruise = Valves will open later (opening threshold can be personalized with CCC)
Sport = Valves will open earlier (opening threshold can be personalized with CCC)
View = Call up the valve function and adjustment on the radio display
Open = Valves will open immediately at any time or rpm

To us, the most important feature is the open button function, it allows the valves to be kept open permanently without the factory override. Factory override is an annoying occurrence with the Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE) or other competitors valved exhausts which closes the valves via backpressure even though the driver has selected open. Factory override is awfully embarrassing when allowing others to hear the exhaust with the valves open, only to be overridden by the system which closes them. None of that non-sense with the Capristo Valved Exhaust system, simply press open and allow everyone to experience the glorious chorus of the flat 6 Porsche Turbo at any rpm.

Please Note: When ordering, please let us know which tip design you prefer. We recommend software tuning with this exhaust system, as running factory software can cause the car to run rich. That can lead to raw fuel being dumped on the cats, which can lead to damage and premature failure. Sport cats are not C.A.R.B. certified (California) nor are they TÜV, EPA or ECE approved. They are for Racing use only.
