Important Installation Information

Four shorter caliper bolts are always included with this brake caliper. This is intentional and not a packaging error.

The manufacturer produces this caliper as a multi-purpose design for several Porsche models, including the Porsche 912. For those applications, spacer plates are installed to accommodate wider brake discs and thicker brake pads.

For installation on the Porsche 356 C / Carrera 2000, these spacer plates (sometimes referred to by customers as the "bridge") must be removed. The caliper must then be reassembled using the four shorter caliper bolts supplied in the package.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have the bolts already been removed or tampered with?
No. The colored markings visible on the bolts are Loctite® threadlocker applied during assembly. They are not factory security seals or tamper-evident markings. Removing the bolts to take off the spacer plates does not constitute breaking a seal.

Will removing the spacer plates void the warranty?
No. Removing the spacer plates and reassembling the caliper with the supplied shorter bolts is the intended installation procedure for the Porsche 356 C / Carrera 2000. Performing this step does not void the warranty.
