The factory pressure hoses and pipes on a stock 992 Turbo, Turbo S, or Carrera perform adequately in standard form, but once you introduce tuning or increased boost, their limitations become obvious. The rubber construction is porous and prone to cracking or splitting under the added heat and pressure of a modified turbo. Even the smallest leak robs your Porsche of its trademark urgency — boost won't build properly, acceleration feels flat, and if the ECU detects too much deviation between requested and actual boost, it can trigger limp mode.
